Nom Nom .... Rabbit Carrot Gun

Despite there is no air-conditioned in the indoor or alfresco seating, I enjoyed my brunch at Rabbit Carrot Gun. I still can remember this shop previously was a kopitiam selling the famous katong laksa and now reborn as a laid back English style bed and breakfast. I had the Game Keepers Shooting Breakfast which is pretty decent but nothing much to rave about. I saw that there was more option for dinner and heard good reviews about their signature dishes. Set the food aside, I liked the fact that the old mosaic flooring was retained and one of the table top was recycled using an old sign board. Even this place is pretty new but it was always pack in the weekend therefore is advisable to call for reservation if you keen and weekend parking is a hassle here so be sure to park in the mall would be a better option.

Shop 【 Public Garden 】

I'm unhappy that due to my poor health, I can't make it today to the Public Garden. The photos posted were taken during my February visit. This is one of the better monthly flea market comprising many Singapore independent businesses and creative individuals normally held in different locations. There are a good mix of food, knick-knacks and crafts that I love and every time when I visited I'm sure to find addition of new surprises. I've spotted a few new likings this time and if you are at a loss on what to do this weekend, do drop by Public Garden at the National Museum of Singapore.

Nom Nom .... Ladurée Singapore

Hello Ladurée ! If you are a fan of macarons, I am sure there is no need for any introduction . There was already queues forming in the two outlets at Takashimaya, on level one was the stand alone counter for takeaway macarons (*shorter queue) and second level was the main boutique selling not only takeaway macarons but also items ranging from candles, teas, chocolates, jams to books and tote bags etc.

There are more than 16 macaron flavours available and if they are available to pack in gift boxes of 6, 8, 18 or 24. The boxes are so beautifully designed that you will have a hard time deciding and if you are a collectibles fan, it is best to grab their limited edition Singapore box for 8 macarons at $38.

I can still remember on my last trip to Tokyo,  I'll stop by the every night since is just next to the train station and stunned by their window display and seeing how the Laduree staffs was preparing their new shop launch at Shinjuku in the late hours.

Anyway there are less items available here in Singapore but hopefully they can open a tea salon soon. There are more photos here if you want to see more of the stunning boutique. Personally I like the Strawberry Candy Marshmallow and Salted Caramel but the rest are all not too bad either. Which is the best flavours all depend on individual but if you have a sweet tooth like me, then is best to try as many as possible.

Nom Nom .... Department Of Caffeine

I was overjoyed to find a good cafe near to my doctor and have already foreseen myself would be spending hours here every week. Considering the numbers of cafe nearby Duxton Hill area, Department Of Caffeine (D.O.C) was one of the better one that I've visited so far. The industrial chic concept was well designed from the exterior to the interior (even the bathroom). Serving good coffee sourced from Australian coffee roaster Five Senses, I love my mocha totally. Besides coffee, what impressed me was the delectable pulled pork sandwich accompanied with French beans and mangetout with hazelnuts & Orange salad. Eventually I also gave in to the tiramisu in store :)
